Aly Raisman, being an 18 year old she had accomplished a lot. Alexandra began gymnastics and is currently going to the same gym, Brestyans Gymnastics. She has lived in Need Ham Massachusetts all of her life.
This image to the left is the high school that Aly attended, Needham High School. She lived the normal life up until the Olympics. She still attended school while she was preparing, although that did get her much more attention during classes, she had to have some way of learning and she wanted the most normal life that she could get.
Aly has one older brother, Brett Raisman, and two younger sisters, Chloe Raisman and Madison Raisman. Aly lived with both of her parents, Rick Raisman and Lynn Faber. Aly is really a very normal girl when you get to have time and talk to her. I have had the ability to talk to her 3 times before. I went to the American Cup this year, 2013, and she was doing a meet and greet and we actually sat a few rows behind her during the performance. The second time was when I had a gymnastics competition in Need Ham Mass and it just so happened to be Brestyans. She was there walking around with her coach and supporting her team. After the meet me and my parents went to go grab a bite to eat and we went to the local bagel shop. Aly was also grabbing something to eat. I said hello to her and got the chance to actually have a conversation with her. We talked about the previous competition that had just happened only moments ago.
This is Aly's gymnastics, Brestyan's Gymnastics. With her coach Mihai Brestyan. He has been her coach since she has started the competitive level. She has returned back to training with him recently after the Olympics had finished.
Aly Raisman is also only 5'2" and 115lbs. She was the tiniest gymnast in the fierce five Olympians. Doesn't make her any less powerful.
